Across New Zealand, association professionals work behind the scenes to deliver value for their members. From strengthening member engagement to guiding organisations through change, their work has a direct impact on industries, professions, and communities.

Entering the NZSAE Associations Matter Awards is straightforward and designed to allow associations and individuals to clearly demonstrate the impact of their work.
Each award category includes a short entry form outlining the information required by the judging panel. Submissions should focus on the outcomes achieved, the value created for members, and the broader contribution made to the association sector.
Entries may be submitted by individuals, associations, or colleagues wishing to recognise someone’s contribution.
All submissions are reviewed by an independent judging panel drawn from experienced leaders across the association and membership sector.

Don’t Overthink Your Entry
Many outstanding initiatives begin as simple ideas that made a meaningful difference to members.
You do not need a large project or a complex programme to submit an entry. The judging panel is interested in understanding the impact of your work, the thinking behind it, and the value it created for members or the sector.
If you believe an initiative, leadership contribution, or engagement activity has made a positive difference, we encourage you to submit an entry.
Awards Presentation
Winners of the NZSAE Associations Matter Awards will be announced during the Associations Matter Conference & Exhibition, where association leaders from across New Zealand gather to connect, learn, and celebrate the work of membership organisations.
The awards presentation recognises individuals and associations who are making a meaningful difference in strengthening industries, professions, and communities through membership organisations.
