Events & Marketing Lead/Advisor (Permanent)

The Events & Marketing Lead/Advisor plans, coordinates and promotes activities to support ECC. The role focuses on strategic marketing, communication channels (including member communications), and the delivery of ECC events — particularly the national conference.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Working collaboratively to ensure member services are delivered professionally at all times (including providing back-up support when required)
  • Responding to member enquiries regarding events
  • Supporting event planning, delivery and post-event evaluation
  • Reporting on satisfaction levels and event outcomes
  • Leading the planning and delivery of the national conference
  • Liaising with suppliers to maintain strong operational relationships and ensure accurate promotional information

While the role carries clear accountabilities, all team members contribute to delivering services to members. The Events & Marketing Lead/Advisor is not expected to work directly with Executive Committee members (unless they are directly involved in ECC events).

Specific Accountabilities

Professional Development & Member Events Planning, coordination, promotion and reporting of professional development programmes and events. Feedback tracked and reported; promotion delivered to agreed timelines; event coordination delivered effectively.
National Conference Lead Overall event lead including programme development, ticketing, stakeholder liaison, sponsorship packages and budget tracking. Positive survey feedback; timely and professional communications; budget oversight maintained.
Marketing & Promotion Full accountability for professional and timely promotion of events and activities. Registrations meet targets; promotions delivered on time; cancellations minimised; pricing compliant with policy.
Stakeholder Relations Professional engagement with members, suppliers, partners and sector organisations. ECC represented professionally; partnerships supported as required.
New Event & Initiative Development Development of new events and initiatives aligned with ECC strategy and brand. Satisfaction rates above 4/5; events commercially sustainable; new initiatives strengthen market position.
Other Duties Other responsibilities as directed by the CEO. As required.
